We had a wonderful time in the Castle Palace and Vimiledhrme was so attentive, thoughtful and curious. It's a very cosy place, super comfy beds and beautiful rooms with balconies amidst nature - we saw a lot of animals. We also had dinner on the day of arrival. It was very delicious - a bit more pricey than local places but definitely freshly made. It's a hidden gem at the lake and you can also swim there if you don't mind a bit of muddy ground. The path to the hotel is a bit tricky but doable as a self-driver with a tuktuk. It's an hour from Kandy so we stayed for two nights and went on a day trip to the Botanical Garden and one of the tea factories. Hemos estado solo una noche, pero la experiencia ha sido inmejorable. El sitio es espectacular, con unas vistas al lago impresionantes que hacen que merezca la pena desde el primer momento. Las habitaciones están muy bien acomodadas, limpias, cuidadas y con todo lo necesario: toallas, jabón, secador y todo tipo de utilidades que se agradecen mucho. Se nota el detalle y el mimo en cada aspecto. El servicio del hotel es de 10: súper amable, cercano y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. En todo momento estuvieron muy atentos y además nos recomendaron diferentes actividades de la zona, sin ningún tipo de compromiso ni sensación de urgencia, algo que se valora muchísimo. Una pena no haber podido quedarnos más días… si hubiéramos sabido lo bien que íbamos a estar, sin duda habríamos alargado la estancia. We had a very nice accommodation experience, kind and friendly staff, very good and elegantly presented food, as well as a place with peace, wonderful nature, a large and beautiful lake, with many birds and a squirrel in the trees. Con moglie e 2 bimbe di 7 e 9 anni abbiamo trascorso un paio di notti in questa struttura. La impervia salita per raggiungere il posto diventa un falso problema per il fatto che i gestori sono attrezzati di pickup e disponibilissimi a fare fa navetta gratuita su e giù in ogni momento. L'albergo si trova in una ex casa privata trasformata, costruita letteralmente intorno ad un roccia su un promontorio da cui si domina un lago. E' possibile vedere dall'alba al tramonto direttamente dalla propria camera. Gli ampi spazi, sia abitativi che condivisi, permettono di convivere con altri ospiti senza pestarsi i piedi ma conservando un ampio senso di libertà . Una sincera e di cuore nota di merito ai proprietari che si prodigano davvero tantissimo nella missione di farti stare davvero bene e "sentire a casa". E' un luogo in cui sei sinceramente felice di rientrare dopo una giornata esplorativa. Just loved loved loved the place. Highly recommended (castle Palace Kandy) for anyone seeking a peaceful, scenic retreat and fantastic hospitality. Randika and Vimale are two lovely souls.
